Yes! We’ve developed several classic products that keep our customers coming back. All of these products can be custom made with your graphics to your specifications.

We can create 3D objects several different ways. We can carve 3D shapes in sheet materials such as MDF and Modeling Foam with the CNC Shopbot. We can also cut layers of sheet materials that can be assembled into 3D shapes from layered contour maps to furniture, boxes, etc.

Our pricing is done on a case-by-case basis. We will provide a free quote once we understand the scope of your project.
If you have images and design files to start the project, you can begin our quoting process. If not, our design team can work with you to get your ideas into production ready files. In either case, get started with our quick intake form.
Rush pricing is typically applied to tight deadlines and is based off current workload, urgency, and complexity.
Yes. For products like wooden stickers, nameplates, badges, and even signs we are happy to extend a discount for bulk ordering.
It depends on the size and complexity of the project. Our standard lead times 4-5 business days for laser jobs and 10 business days for CNC jobs. Lead time begins after materials are received in shop and design files are approved.
We cut from 2D vector files and prefer .ai, .dxf, .dwg, or .eps.
Raster files (.jpg, .png) can be used for laser engraving, and should preferably be 300 dpi.
For CNC carving, we can accept most standard 3D modeling formats including .3dm, .step and .iges.
Because we use laser and CNC machines, the list of materials we work with is vast, and we are discovering new ones all the time.

Yes, we’re happy to use your materials. Check the lists above or email us to see if we can use your material. We can also source materials for you. We are often able to get bulk discounts on materials we use regularly and are happy to share the discount with you.
Laser cutting uses a focused beam of light to burn through material to cut it. We do what we can to reduce and protect materials from burn marks, but many materials including wood, paper and leather will always so some signs of burning.
We encourage clients to visit us by appointment to ensure we’re available to meet you. We are typically available Monday-Friday 10 am – 5 pm. To schedule an appointment or time to discuss your project contact us at info@soulmindstudios.com.
Please note we are a functioning fabrication shop and close toe shoes are required to visit.
We are located at 6315 Doyle St., Emeryville CA 94608 Door C.
Unlike Techshop, we’re a fabrication shop that does all the heavy lifting to provide you with the final product. We’re unable to allow customers to work in the shop.
If you’re looking to use the machines yourself, we suggest checking out nearby makerspace, ACE Monster Toys.
